Accurate Information on COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2 is the new coronavirus causing the illness COVID-19. Recommendations for prevention and treatment of COVID-19 continue to change. For example, at one point, we were cautioned not to use ibuprofen to treat symptoms of Coronavirus, but as of March 24, the World Health Organization did NOT recommend avoiding ibuprofen for COVID-19 symptoms. This virus is not only a problem for the elderly or immunocompromised; anyone can get it. Sometimes inaccurate information is shared, even at the highest levels. Check sites like the WHO, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and your state’s health website for current and accurate health information and recommendations.
