Reactions or Allergies to Medications

A medication allergy can impose serious limitations on otherwise routine treatments. However, even health professionals may not consider that the cause of a side effect or reaction may be inactive ingredients contained in the formulation. Sometimes, patients have reactions to the dye used to artificially color a tablet, a preservative, filler, or other “excipient”. Fortunately, compounding pharmacies are able to make medications without problem-causing additives. If an allergy or reaction poses a conflict with your medication needs, ask our compounding pharmacist about creating a customized dosage form that works for you. We are Problem-Solvers!
