Quality of Life After Breast Cancer

As we focus on Breast Cancer Awareness, ask our pharmacist how various types of hormones may affect your risk of breast cancer. While survival is the goal of treatment, the last dose of chemo or the final radiation therapy is typically not the end of a woman’s journey with breast cancer. Quality of life can be seriously compromised. It is common to have some long-term side effects from treatment including hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms, fatigue, chronic breast pain, lymphedema and a loss of sex drive. Our pharmacist is an integral part of the health care team; ask us how we can help!
